Step 1. Add the desired video files
Run the IPT iPod Video Converter, then please add the video file by click the "+" button, or just drag and drop the desired video files from Windows Explorer to the IPT iPod Video Converter directly.
Step 2. Change the output settings
- Convert length and audio track.
Select the desired video file, then click the "=" button to modify the convert length and audio track (if the added file contain more than one audio tracks). You can select the start time (cannot change the start time of RMVB format) and end time, or select the desired audio track for DVD (VOB) files.
- Resolution and Quality.
You can change the Resolution and Quality settings for each files seperately, or apply the same settings to all the added files.
To change the settings, please first select one added file in IPT iPod Video Converter, then modify the Resolution and Quality settings from the right side of application.
If you click the "Apply to all the jobs", current settings will be applied to all the added files, otherwise, it will only apply to the selected file.
- Tip: Select the output reoslution according to the device type (the screen size), 640x480 will only be used if you want to play the video through the TV. You can try to only convert 1 mintue of each video to test the output quality with different output settings, convert the full length with the output settings you tested satisfactorily.
Step 3. Start convert
Click the Convert button to start convert jobs. If you want to shutdown your computer automatically after all convert finished, please check the "Shutdown computer after all jobs done" checkbox.
Step 4. Put the converted video files into iPod
Depends on whether you have enabled manually manage your iPod in the iTunes, there are two different way to send video to the iPod.
To check whether you have enable this option, please refer to the answer of question: How to enable manullay manage your iPod in the iTunes?
- Method 1, Enabled manage your iPod manually (recommended).
Please connect your iPod to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPod icon from the device list (left side of iTunes).
Select the music item under the iPod icon, then drag and drop the converted video files (in the output folder) to the right side (music list) of iTunes. iTunes will auto sync these video files to the iPod.
- Method 2, use iTunes to manage iPod automatically.
Please open iTunes, then click the "File" -> "Add file to library", select the output folder and choose the converted files to add them into iTunes library.
Connect the iPod to the computer, select the iPod icon from the device list (left side of iTunes).
Click the Movies tab in the right side of iTunes, then check the "Sync Movies" checkbox to allow sync the videos.
Sync you iPod with iTunes as usual.
